Welcome everybody to the first ever Question & Answer blog post here on samanthasabio. Today our queen will be answering your most burning questions about her social life, guilty pleasures, and future goals. Everybody please put your hands together for our host for this evening, the blogger and website creator herself, Samantha Sabio!

Thank you everybody, thank you. I’m so excited to have you all here today! And I’m even more excited for you all to get to know me a little bit better through this Q&A session. Before we get started with specific questions, let me go ahead and answer all the “favorites” questions.

Favorite food?

Anything Italian.

Favorite color?

Red.

Favorite animal?

Penguin. Ugh, I love penguins.

Favorite book?

Oooh, this one’s a hard one. I honestly can’t pick. I was once asked to pick one book, and only one book, to read for the rest of my life, and I said Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, so I’m going to go with that one.

Favorite film?

Meet the Robinsons. Such a good film, and totally underrated.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to the really deep stuff.

What’s your go-to Starbucks order?

It kind of depends on the season for me. Like I’m a big fan of the Pumpkin Spice Latte (with soy milk, extra hot, extra spice, and whip on top), but, of course, only in the fall time. Now that it’s getting warming, I’m more inclined to order a vanilla iced coffee or a java chip frappuccino (solely because it’s milkshake-like and makes me feel like it’s finally summer time).

What Hogwarts House do you belong to?

I am a proud Gryffindor. …I feel like that statement in itself proves it.

You’ve written a few posts on different things to do on the Internet. Do you spend a lot of time on YouTube? If so, who are some of your favorite YouTubers?

This one’s not your typical “favorites” question, so I thought I’d answer it in full down here. I do spend quite some time on YouTube, but to be honest it’s usually just to watch funny skits or celebrity games on Ellen. I am a fairly devoted follower of a handful of vloggers though- including the Vlogbrothers, Bethany Mota, and Connor Franta.

What are you most looking forward to doing this summer?

This’ll be the first summer I spend completely away from my childhood home, so I feel like it’s going to be so different from any of the other summer vacations I’ve experienced. I’m really excited to stay in one of my favorite places in the world and have a lot more free time to spend with some of my favorite friends in the world- most of which are also staying in town.

Who is your role model?

Funnily enough, I first found out about Cheez Doodle Guy from another YouTube video referencing him. I remember watching it for the first time and just thinking how hilariously weird the entire thing was. But then I realized something quite profound (with help from the video that referenced him)- Cheez Doodle Guy is genuinely happy and excited about those Cheez Doodles. Now I’ve been happy and excited about things in my life before-, but I honestly can’t remember a time I was Cheez Doodle Guy-excited. And I think being able to find something you can be Cheez Doodle Guy-excited about is one of those things that makes life complete. That’s why I’ve made it a goal in life to invest and indulge in the things that make me want to scream and jump around like a complete fool. So thanks to Cheez Doodle Guy for helping me realize that and being an unexpected role model in my life.

How long does it take you to write a blog post?

It depends on what it’s over. This one, for example, was extremely reliant on the questions that I got from you all, so it wasn’t one I was able to write and schedule extremely early. Ones that might require a little bit more research, like “Random Reviews: Films Edition” (link here: https://samanthasabio.com/2018/04/12/random-reviews-films-edition/) I try to start a little bit earlier so I’m not struggling to upload it on time- although that’s usually what ends up happening anyway… sorry.

What emoji do you relate to the most?

The laughing-crying emoji is by far my favorite, but the sideways smile and thinking emojis are slowly but surely making their way up the ranks.

Are you right-handed or left-handed?

Right-handed. Although I did try to teach myself how to be left-handed in the third grade- that lasted maybe a day before I gave up. I do eat and occasionally brush my hair and teeth with my left-hand, so I’m calling that a somewhat success.

Have you ever had an existential crisis?

I don’t know if I’ve ever had a real one, but I’m going to say “yes”. College and the idea of life after it will do that to you.

Do you have any tattoos? If yes, what is it/are they of? If no, would you get one, and what would you get?

I do not, but I’ve considered it before. Probably a quote that means a lot to me, like “Keep Moving Forward.” The problem with quotes is that I just love too many of them- THERE’S NOT ENOUGH SKIN ON MY BODY.

Do you have any siblings?

I have a younger brother.

Do you wear glasses?

I do. Mostly contacts though. Because I’m so near-sighted, I’m convinced I don’t see as well in my glasses as I do in my contacts.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

When I went to France in March, my friends and I tried escargot for the first time. I have to say it wasn’t half bad. But that could also be because they were covered- and I mean COVERED- in pesto.

If you could switch bodies with anybody in the world for one day, who would it be?

Oh shoot- I don’t know, like a celebrity? Maybe like Kendall Jenner or like Taylor Swift. I feel like they’ve been pretty low-key lately, and just a sneak peak into their daily lives- like away from the public- could be kind of cool.
