One of a writer’s biggest dreams is being published. I mean, that’s why we write- to be read. I always thought that I had to get my work featured in Vanity Fair or distributed by the Penguin Group to matter. That’s still a dream of mine. But I realized that dreams like that don’t just happen- you have to work on them, step by step. That being said, I have some big news that I’m really excited to share with you all- I’m releasing my very first short story collection, exclusively on this website!
I’ve spent the last couple of months putting together some reworked stories from previous classes or writing competitions, adding and replacing certain ones along the way. The final product isn’t ready for release yet, but keep an eye out for an announcement of the official date!
This whole process has been nerve-wracking and thrilling all at the same time, and to be honest I’ve come so close to quitting several times. But to cross the finish line you have to run the race. Thank you in advance for supporting this endeavor, and I really hope it’s something you read and enjoy! *UPDATE, 15 February 2018* Release dates have been posted! Because I want you all to be able to read the entire collection without having to wait too long in-between stories, I’ve decided to release everything in March. Each story will have its own debut before the next one is published.
In addition, since there are eleven stories in the collection, which means eleven pieces of content for you to indulge in, I will NOT be posting anything else for the month of March. Regular blogs will resume Thursday, 5 April. I’ll make sure to relay this on the main page as well, in case anyone forgets or misreads.
*UPDATE, 8 March 2018* Release dates have been changed! I overestimated the amount of time it would take me to edit every story in the collection, so I have to push the release back about a week and a half. New dates are listed below and on the main page of the blog. I will continue to post in the months of March and April as normal EXCEPT for the Thursday before the release (Thursday, 29 March) and the Thursday after the release (Thursday, 19 April). This will give you more time to prepare and digest everything in the collection. Sorry for the sudden change, and as always, thank you so much to all of you who have stuck by me through all of this! Your patience and support is so so so appreciated!

A lot of the stories have already been completed, but it isn’t my best work. And to put anything forward that isn’t my best just isn’t something I’m willing to do. You all deserve my best work.
