My Favorites and More

  • Milwaukee is one of my favorite places for many reasons. The city is comfortable enough to be a place I could live with the eccentricities of a place I’d want to visit — and that might be the best thing about it. You could explore the city and relax on the beach all in one day. Not to mention all the foods and drinks there are to try.

Travel Tips

Milwaukee

For its lakefront attractions and its relaxed atmosphere, Milwaukee is a treasured travel destination here in Wisconsin. Tourists often indulge in beer tastings, cultured museum or charming neighborhood tours, or a day at one of the city’s public beaches.

With its wealth of exploration offerings, there’s certainly no shortage of accommodation options for those who want to take their time in Milwaukee. Hotels are primarily concentrated downtown, while home and room stays can be found throughout the city. Staying just outside of the hustle and bustle might be less crowded and more affordable, if you want to weigh your options.

Regardless of where you stay, having your own form of transportation is highly recommended. The city is spacious, with many attractions scattered throughout. Which is why having your own vehicle is something to keep in mind. However, there is a public bus system, offered by the Milwaukee Country Transit System (MCTS), that travels throughout this region if needed, including the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE).
