Travel Tips

Kansas City

Kansas City is a staple city to see here in the Midwest. It offers visitors limitless entertainment options, a fun foods and craft cocktail scene, shopping centers, and many more activities and attractions to fill up any itinerary.

Driving is the best and easiest way to get around here, with limited options for public transportation available. Accommodation options on the other hand are plenty, from luxury to budget stays.

Kansas City welcomes visitors to experience a wealth of activities and attractions. You could try one of the many local coffee shops or cheer on one of the city’s dynamic sports teams. Entertainment can be expensive here, so make sure to budget for it. You could always split the costs with your travel buddy. But traveling solo is just as fun too.

A full guide on traveling through Kansas City is coming to the blog soon.

St. Louis

St. Louis is another popular place to visit in this area. While not as busy as the vibrant Kansas City, St. Louis still captivates everyone who passes through.

Driving is also the best and easiest way to get around St. Louis. Accommodations are plentiful in and around the center of the city. On your next trip to St. Louis, make sure to see the prominent Gateway Arch. This towering steel arch, the focal feature of Gateway Arch National Park, is the most recognized landmark here in St. Louis and viewing the structure — or even riding to the top — is something you’ll want to add to list of things to do.

Branson and the Ozarks

Missouri isn’t just home to sprawling cities. The southern section of the state actually houses rolling green hills and mountains known as the Ozarks. Immerse yourself in nature through hiking experiences and camping trips. There’s plenty of land here to come and visit.

The Ozarks are also home to a few cities, Branson being one of the most toured by travelers in the area. Branson brings exciting entertainment to this part of the woods. There are theatre shows, interactive museums, arcades and amusement parks, and so much more. It’s the perfect blend of bright lights and serene sights. Keep in mind that this is a more expensive area to visit, what with all the shops and businesses vying for your attention. And a car is an absolute necessity for getting around.

Route 66

Missouri is the second of eight states Route 66 passes through. It offers road trippers many common stops in cities like St. Louis, but also many quieter towns in areas like Stanton and Joplin. Explore established attractions, but don’t forget to take the time to veer off the main roads and really delve into the rare and interesting ones too, like cave tours and oddity shops. It’ll leave you with a different impression of Missouri, with memories that’ll last a lifetime.

Check back to the blog for a full guide on traveling on Route 66, coming soon.
